After receiving some feedback regarding death, we've raised the corpse decomposition time from 10 ticks to 60 ticks. This should give ample time to get back to your body and get your gear, providing someone hasn't already looted it.

Honestly, I'd remove corpse retrieval altogether and have death be more of a 'you are subdued' kind of thing where you wake up after a certain period. In PK, this would give the victor the opportunity to decide if they fully murder you or not. I guess if you're fully murdered, you would have to come and find your corpse. Otherwise, you just wake up after being beaten to a pulp.
Thoughts? Is this too much of a separate subject?

I could see some inherent issues with mob death as well, would it not?

Yes, mob and PC death would have to be different things

I agree with Garen. Mob Death should be separate code from PC Death, ideally (at least in my head). I played a MUD where PK loss resulted in the player essentially being asleep (beaten unconscious) for a few tics, then waking up and going about their business. For those who went full-on PK, they could opt-in a system which allowed those players to Murder (kill, leave corpse) each other with full loot rights, but only for those flagged as such. Otherwise a full-pk victor would only subdue a normal player and only have loot rights to their on-hand coin/root inventory non-container objects. That system makes a MUD much more entry-level friendly.
